Located at 940 Mississippi Parkway, the hotel, managed by Golder Hospitality, not only offers an enclosed walkway to Bend Xpo, but sits in an up-and-coming neighborhood near the Rust Belt, Vibrant Arena, River Center and has views of the beautiful Mississippi River. During the grand opening event, guests were treated to beautiful views of the area’s amenities and dined on appetizers from the Combine, located just across the street.
“As I look at our hotel here and the market we’re in, I see a lot of kinships,” My Place Hotels President and CEO Ryan Rivett told QuadCities.com last week. “You have a lot of history here, a lot of stories that go back in your community, and you have a lot going on today that’s pushing economic development, pushing economic growth. You have a great group of people in this community we’ve been able to interact with.”
The murmur around town is that of excitement, a spark that is currently fanning East Moline’s growth and potential as a destination for travelers across the globe. Rivett said the property owner, Aaron Tennant, has been a driving force to continue the momentum the city has set forth.
“It’s been a pleasure interacting with Aaron and his group throughout the project,” he added. “I applaud the city of East Moline for being engaged and for its residents being engaged.”
And for Rivett and his franchise development team, the future looks bright for the area.
“I’m excited about East Moline,” he said. “I’m excited about this location. It’s so well situated inside of an area — imagine what this is going to look like five years from now, seven years from now.”
