The Summit League basketball championships are an annual highlight for South Dakotans and visitors alike, and it's no secret as to why. The Midwest loves their sports, and that fire never burns quite as bright as during that special time in Sioux Falls each March. Almost 60,000 people attended the 2023 championships.

Through 41 years of Division I athletics, The Summit League offers 19 championship sports and has a combined enrollment of around 100,000 at nine institutions, including five located in top 60 U.S. metropolitan populations and two land-grant universities.
