A perfect team: My Place & The Summit League

When My Place Hotels of America (MPHOA) says we're proud of our roots, we mean it.

MPHOA is a South Dakota-based company headquartered in Aberdeen — and although we have 70 locations all across the country, there's something about this area that will always have our heart and our support.

My Place Hotels is happy to announce our partnership with The Summit League for another year of basketball championship fun. During the Men's and Women's Basketball Championship Tournament coming up March 8-12, you'll see My Place on display within the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, SD as a proud hotel sponsor.

Matt Campbell, COO of My Place Hotels

“We’re thrilled to be a part of the Summit League Basketball Championships. This tournament has become a premier athletic event in South Dakota, and we love to support our home state. Not to mention we have My Place hotels in most of the college towns in the Summit League, so we look forward to connecting with these teams and their fans. I’m a Coyote, so I’ll be cheering loudest for them, but excited to watch all the men's and women's teams compete.”

The Summit League basketball championships are an annual highlight for South Dakotans and visitors alike, and it's no secret as to why. The Premier Center in Sioux Falls is a top notch facility, and the atmosphere provided by the loyal and passionate fans is unmatched. The Midwest loves their sports, and that fire never burns quite as bright as during that special time in Sioux Falls each March. Almost 60,000 people attended the 2023 championships.

This is a natural pairing with the strong My Place presence amongst the Summit League's member locations. MPHOA currently has properties in six of the nine member cities and eight of the nine member states. There's also more than just alignment on a map — as these student-athletes show daily dedication to their craft, their studies, and their communities, My Place is also dedicated to providing guests with the qualities of home each and every stay. The brand is proud to invest in the communities their hotels reside in, and The Summit League gives them the opportunity to do so on both a regional and national level.

In addition to the basketball championships, My Place is also the proud sponsor the weekly Summit Stats, so be sure to check out The Summit League's Facebook, X and Instagram pages as they showcase athletes from around the league and their outstanding highlights.

Good luck to all the teams this year. My Place is grateful for the chance to be a part of this remarkable feather in South Dakota's cap. See you in Sioux Falls!
