My Place Hotel-Tucson North/Marana/Cortaro, AZ recently hosted its grand opening, marking an exciting milestone for the community and the My Place brand. In addition to many community supporters, the event welcomed members of the Tucson Metro Chamber of Commerce, the City of Marana, The Marana Chamber of Commerce, the hotel’s ownership (Opwest Partners), management (Legacy Management), and brand representatives from our team at My Place Hotels.



The festivities began with a warm welcome from a vibrant Mariachi band, and guests were invited to enjoy a variety of delicious local cuisine provided by area restaurants. Several distinguished speakers then took the stage to share their excitement for the new hotel. Michael Guymon, Tucson Metro Chamber President and CEO, spoke about the hotel's positive impact on the local economy. Roxanne Ziegler, Vice Mayor of Marana, expressed enthusiasm for the area’s hospitality growth. Alfred Shuaibe, General Manager of the new hotel, passionately welcomed guests and emphasized their commitment to exceptional service. Daniel Pintor, Director of Real Estate at Iridius Capital, highlighted the team effort showcased through the development of the project, while Ryan Rivett, President/CEO of My Place Hotels, reflected on the investment that My Place Hotels makes in the communities we serve.

A highlight was the official proclamation read by the Tucson Metro Chamber, a fun tradition to celebrate the growth a new business represents and formally welcome us to the community. The event culminated with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony, symbolizing the beginning of a new chapter for My Place Hotels in Marana.
Attendees then toured the 86-key property, allowing them to experience firsthand the convenience, cleanliness, and comfort My Place Hotels offers.
