ABERDEEN, SD — February 9th, 2024. My Place Hotels ended last week on the ultimate high note — celebrating our 70th open and operating My Place Hotel. The newest addition to the family of hotels opened at the end of 2023 in Idaho Falls, ID, and we hosted the grand opening event on February 2.
With the snow dusting the property outside, we all packed in the lobby to hear from Paul Baker, President/CEO of the Idaho Falls Chamber; Ryan Rivett, President/CEO of My Place Hotels; and Stan Kozlowski, representing MP Idaho Falls Holdings, LLC.
"I have to say, I love Idaho Falls. The agricultural background of your community is like our home and what we're so accustomed to. We find a lot of the same types of people and the same attitudes and dispositions. So it's great to be able to say that we're doing business in a community like the one we come from."
There were also some special guests in attendance as five of the Idaho Falls Spud Kings hockey players stopped by to celebrate and take a tour of the brand new hotel. We heard they may have even jumped on some beds! My Place Hotels is the Official Hotel Sponsor of the Idaho Falls Spud Kings, and representatives from My Place Corporate, management and ownership all had the opportunity to watch the Spud Kings defeat the Provo Predators 2-1 at Friday night's game.
MPHOA is also a proud sponsor of the Idaho Falls Chukars baseball team, a longstanding tradition and huge summertime draw for the area.

This property was developed by Legacy Builders and is being managed by Guard Hospitality, which now oversees 15 My Place Hotels in twelve states. The 16th My Place under their management is scheduled to open in 2024.
